I decided to reflect on 2014, which is basically half of the necessary new year's post, so, here we go. What happened to me in 2014.
At the beginning of the year I turned sixteen, which is sort of a big thing as in Luxembourg I can now legally drink, buy cigarettes (even though I woudln't) and go to clubs. It was also a wake up call, as I really don't feel that old yet.
Then, in February, I actually went out for the first time, which was a rather exciting event. The best part, though, was watching The Lord of the Rings afterwards.
In March I went on a choir trip to Greece, which was an amazing experience, as I made new friends who share my interest in music. I will never abandon my old friends, but the ones I met in choir have probably the most important thing that happened to me in all of 2014. In March, I also almost moved to Finland because of school, but I stayed in Luxembourg and I'm happy about it.
In May, I argued with my English teacher about the definition of beauty, provoked by his reactions to the Eurovision Song Concert, Conchita Wurst. I have never argued with a teacher, but this time it was too much.
In July, I went to work for a month in Bavaria. It was an important experience, and I must say I enjoy waitressing. However, staying so far away from my friends with no one to really talk to is really hard.
In August I dyed my hair for the first time. I loved it, but now it has faded and I think I'm better off blonde.
In September, when school started, I started doing music, this time for real. I mean school music. I now know I want to study classical singing, and then hopefully become a professional opera singer. I know it will be hard, but I'm not scared.
In October, I went to Tunisia, which was fun, except that I managed to crack my ankle the Friday before the holidays, and had to wear a bandage all week. It still isn't completely healed. Tunisia however was beautiful.
In November I took part in my first singing master class. It was awesome. I sang Habanera by Bizet, and Would You Gain the Tender Creature by Handel. I plan on posting more about my experiences with music, as it is a very confusing track and maybe someone would like to compare their experiences to mine.
For Christmas I went to Finland for the first time in in a long time, and it was lovely, There was some snow and I love seeing the winter there.
I wish you all an amazing 2015, and I hope I'll actually start blogging and gather an audience, so if you have ideas for me, let me know :)
Lots of love,
Asta
