New Year's post (obligatory)

I don't have pictures of fireworks, 'cause I didn't take any. My friend did.
I decided to reflect on 2014, which is basically half of the necessary new year's post, so, here we go. What happened to me in 2014.

At the beginning of the year I turned sixteen, which is sort of a big thing as in Luxembourg I can now legally drink, buy cigarettes (even though I woudln't) and go to clubs. It was also a wake up call, as I really don't feel that old yet.

Then, in February, I actually went out for the first time, which was a rather exciting event. The best part, though, was watching The Lord of the Rings afterwards.

In March I went on a choir trip to Greece, which was an amazing experience, as I made new friends who share my interest in music. I will never abandon my old friends, but the ones I met in choir have probably the most important thing that happened to me in all of 2014. In March, I also almost moved to Finland because of school, but I stayed in Luxembourg and I'm happy about it.

In May, I argued with my English teacher about the definition of beauty, provoked by his reactions to the Eurovision Song Concert, Conchita Wurst. I have never argued with a teacher, but this time it was too much.

In July, I went to work for a month in Bavaria. It was an important experience, and I must say I enjoy waitressing. However, staying so far away from my friends with no one to really talk to is really hard.

In August I dyed my hair for the first time. I loved it, but now it has faded and I think I'm better off blonde.

In September, when school started, I started doing music, this time for real. I mean school music. I now know I want to study classical singing, and then hopefully become a professional opera singer. I know it will be hard, but I'm not scared.

In October, I went to Tunisia, which was fun, except that I managed to crack my ankle the Friday before the holidays, and had to wear a bandage all week. It still isn't completely healed. Tunisia however was beautiful.

In November I took part in my first singing master class. It was awesome. I sang Habanera by Bizet, and Would You Gain the Tender Creature by Handel. I plan on posting more about my experiences with music, as it is a very confusing track and maybe someone would like to compare their experiences to mine.
For Christmas I went to Finland for the first time in in a long time, and it was lovely, There was some snow and I love seeing the winter there.

I wish you all an amazing 2015, and I hope I'll actually start blogging and gather an audience, so if you have ideas for me, let me know :)

Lots of love,

Asta

At the chapel

On Monday, I realised I had a lot of time before it would get dark, and so I decided to go and take some photos at the chapel on top of the vineyards. It was lovely, and I really like most of the pictures, and so even if they're very similar, I will put them here. Just 'cause.

This one's just to show off my new boots... FAB.

I LOVE the way you can see the sunset in my hair. It sounds like I should write a poem about it. I think I should. I will. I feel the inspiration coming.

My friend made me this super cute choker and yeah, I'm basically just bragging about it everywhere. It's so cute. Also the sunset behind me makes this picture look so nice.

I was trying out the different effects, and the black and white one made it look super duper cozy (I've got a super phase wow Asta wow)

I had to take this one at home... For some reason, my hair was extremely nice, The colour was really nice aswell. It always depends on the day, the way my hair looks. Mostly I have a bad-colour-day.

This is my home. I used to hate coming up here, but it was actually amazing.

I am loving this selfie. It's finally captured me smiling naturally AND looking nice.

I guess that's it for this week... Have lovely whatever you're having!

Autumn food

I like to keep things kind of simple and cozy in autumn. I always keep it simple, but the coziness is important in autumn. Also, the easiness, so that I can quickly get back to drinking tea and reading my book or watching my movie.
The firs thing I managed to do were these lovely grilled sandwiches. They have apple in them, as the surprise factor. They're incredibly simple but incredibly delicious. I was originally going to use mushrooms, but we didn't have any so I used ham to get some more content in there. Next time, it will be mushrooms.

BASICALLY:
1 apple
2 tomatoes (you might wanna carve out the soft and wet part and for example put it in a salad, the solid part is easier to work with)
1 paprika
mozzarella cheese, amount really depends on how much of it you want. I should have taken more than one pack...
mushrooms/ham/whatever else you might want to throw in there
Toast
All you've got to do is mix all of the fruit and vegetables and mix them together, throw some salt or something (I used herbes de Provence) in there and spread in on the toast, throw the cheese on it and put it in the oven. A quick dish, unless you're a very slow cook (like me).

I would put the recipe for these babies up here, but I won't because I got it from my friend and it's our secret xD
However, I'll make a note to myself to use margarine instead of butter, it's easier to mix...

Have a lovely whatever you're having,

Autumn post

It's been a long time since I last posted... Not that it matters to anyone, but I like to make these posts as a kind of diary to myself, that I can look back on when I'm older.
Now it's autumn, I've had my hair brown/dark blonde for about a month... It's starting to rain. I only survive with coffee and red bull. But I'm doing okay. I like autumn, except that it ruins my shoes.

I loved the curls that I had when I came from the hairdresser's for the first time. I had to have it dyed twice as for some reason the colour turned out too light. Yet, now it looks about like that again.

I love looking at pictures from summer. I might have been born in winter, but I will always be a summer child. This one's from the ferris wheel in Schuberfouer, a fair here in Luxembourg. Kind of a tradition.

I feel like maybe I should start outfit blogging, just to see how my style evolves. I kind of like it right now. I might start making collections during the week... Let's see if I manage.

Basically how I spend my days... Also a nice leg picture. The only nice picture I got that day.

I figured it was time to start using black eyeshadow again. Then I took it off and my eyelids were so dry I didn't do it again. I will, when I finally buy a moisturiser.

This was the day when my hair had this lovely ginger-ish colour. I was IN LOVE with it, but it faded. Also, my blonde roots are showing. Needs hairdresser, urgently.

Loved this outfit. It pairs really well with beige-brown boots and my brown Longchamp I use for school (yep, basic Middle-European bitch)

And that's it, kind of loving October so far, not even sick yet (JINXX TOUCH WOOD)

Have a lovely whatever you're having,

Looking at sunsets

As long as I can remember I've been counting years and days until I graduate and can leave Luxembourg. Lately, when I had to choose subjects for the last two school years, I found out I might not be able to do music in those years in school, and so I sent applications to a school in Finland. At first, I was really excited and happy to go, but then it changed. I realised how much I actually like living here, my friends and the way everything is. Of course, it would be a grear experience and such, but I was absolutely terrified and sad to leave.
I then got the informations that the course would run, and decided to stay here. I am now in a band, though I'm absolutely useless in it, I'm doing music next year and I'm looking at Luxembourg in a completely  different way.

Sweet 16

I turned 16 today. It's kind of scary as now I'm actually legally allowed to do stuff like buyin alcohol and cigarettes and clubbing and shit. I'm really excited. I got a book (reading is one of my fave things ever) tickets to OneRepublic which is great, and some money. My parents let me have some champagne, the noob that I am, I've only had some once before. But it was really great. I was really fancy in my pj's, but I'm glad to be 16. I'll see what comes next.
Thanks to everyone for all the nice birthday wishes! <3
